How much does a Sri Lanka tour cost?
Most of our recent private tours cost between $300 and $1,200 per person, depending on days, hotel level and group size. A 5-day group tour in 4★ hotels started at $320 per person; an 8-day 4★ private tour at about $595. See what a tour costs for real examples.
What is included in the price?
Hotels with the meals listed, a private air-conditioned vehicle, an English-speaking chauffeur guide, airport pickup and drop, government taxes and water bottles. Flights, visas, entrance fees, tips and personal expenses are not included unless your quote says so.
Do I need a visa for Sri Lanka?
Most visitors need an ETA (electronic travel authorisation) before they fly, and rules change often. Read our visa and ETA guide, or send us your passport country and we will check for you.
When is the best time to visit?
December to April is best for the south and west coasts and the hill country. May to September suits the east coast. The cultural triangle is good most of the year. See the month-by-month guide.
How do I pay?
After you approve the plan, we send a payment request. Usually an advance confirms the hotels and the balance is paid before or on arrival, by bank transfer. You receive an invoice and a service voucher.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made 21 days or more before arrival are free. Inside 21 days, or a no-show, the full invoice is charged, because hotels charge us. Full details are in our booking terms.
